Frank Lampard is a useless manager

Frank seems like a nice chap but I’m not sure this footy manager lark is for him tbh. Hope he does ok at Chelsea still, especially if he can beat a few of the teams around us, which he didn’t do yesterday.

I wanted him to do well here but it’s becoming clearer he just hasn’t got it - look at the difference Dyche has made to the team and squad since taking over.

He’s still a millions times better a person and manager than that fat Spanish kopite turd who tried to destroy us.

Both are stains on the history of our club.

Because he came after that Spanish Slug people gave him more time and support.

Similar to Kenwright following Peter Johnson, he said a few nice words and people bought it hook line and sinker.

Can’t call him a stain on the club mate, he’s not in the same bracket as el Gordo, and I felt his nice words were genuine and he wanted to crack it here, as I’m sure he does at Chelsea again.

I gave him time and support, as I was sick of bulleting managers all the time for the failings of the owner and board, but I agree he should have been binned after Bournemouth week, and it seems that he’s not learned any new tricks since getting the boot here. Safe to say I bet he hates playing wolves!

The history books will show him as a stain, he is right next to Walker and will be the person to blame if we do get relegated this season.

I actually agree with your sentiment, to a certain degree. In terms of win rate, Lampard is right down there at the bottom of the all-time manager list.

He has the second worst points per game (33.3 per 100), which is above Walker's (27.6 per 100). His win rate is third worst, above Kendall MKIII and Walker.

We simply can't pretend otherwise. You also look at the confidence around the squad and whatnot, which Dyche has already started to amend.

I've said only the other day that Lampard got way too much leeway by many fans, including myself, and the reasons for that are still up for debate within the fanbase.

However, is Lampard the person to blame? In one aspect, yes he is... but, we also can't ignore the situation behind the scenes that's led to this crisis we're in.

Is Lampard the problem or is he a consequence of the real issue, which is the chaotic ownership of the club and years of mismanagement? That's my point.

The problems within the club were there before Lampard, they continued during his tenure and still remain. The squad we've built (or not) has took years.

Fundamentally if we weren't such a rudderless mess off field we'd never have been appointing Benitez or Lampard.

However, both were awful at the winning footie games malarkey whilst here.

That's the nuts and bolts of it. What's most saddening is that the fan base is becoming desensitised to the team being rubbish.

Neither were good enough and shouldn't be negated of any blame for their record, but their appointments were baffling at the time, let alone with hindsight.

Let's be honest, a lot of people at the time were in favour of Lampard, yet the reasoning was we'd had the madness of Benitez and the other option was Pereira.

We all know who was pushing for Pereira and after the Benitez debacle it seemed the better choice, so ultimately Lampard was the best of the bad bunch.
