Rooney wouldn’t be my choice at this early stage, but I’d much rather him than Lampard.

@Cork EvertonianOften incorrectly Everton always labeled a Catholic club yet were formed from at Domingo's Methodist Church, it's immaterial I was ribbed when I was young as being a Catholic - water of a ducks back if you know your history - the same should apply to politics imo....
When a club loses its ethos, it becomes a shell of what it was.FFS stop with the Tory s--t are we putting ballot boxes on the turnstiles.

The Catholic label had nothing to do with the club's origin. It became common to say they were a Catholic club after 1947/1948 and a few years after that when we signed a whole clutch of Southern Irish players, Farrell, O'Neill, Eglington, Donovan, Clinton. There may have been another but I forget.Often incorrectly Everton always labeled a Catholic club yet were formed from at Domingo's Methodist Church, it's immaterial I was ribbed when I was young as being a Catholic - water of a ducks back if you know your history - the same should apply to politics imo....
At Domingo's church club where EFC originated from was a Methodist church - much later on the area had a large catholic community ,.....hence the false rumours we were a totally Catholic Cub which was never the case ......never like the Partizan following like Celtic & Rangers had thank goodness.......The Catholic label had nothing to do with the club's origin. I'm neither a catholic or a protestant. Non denominational christian would best describe me. What gods we believe/don't believe in isn't important here. The most important thing is the Everton brains trust ( and that is a term i use loosely) , finally get this managers search right.

I couldn't give a crap what Frank Lampards politics are, as long as he does a good job for Everton. Lampard is by far, the most logical and sensible choice for the managers job imo.FFS stop with the Tory s--t are we putting ballot boxes on the turnstiles.
Kovac.Just get lampard in and see what he can do. Probably the best of a bad bunch. Given a chance and funds, he might do well here....
