Frank Lampard

Well if he was a real socialist in the truest sense he wouldn’t be a millionaire would he as he would have shared it round.
Ah, the politics of envy, ok I’ll give you Mr. Naismith as another example. Earned far more than the average man and frequently gave to homeless on the street. Anyway, apologies for off topic

This is pure white smoke at the Vatican theatrics. I've never seen a managerial appointment process made so public.

Down to finite details like BK and Sharpy grabbing a butty en route to coffee with Cahill as they all then meet and get a taxi to Euston, train to Lime Street and a taxi to The Liver building.

To then decide to appoint Dunc only to forget they left him in London after asking him to come down earlier in the day.

Bill forgot he told Lampard the job was his on Wednesday and been putting him up at the Titanic so they decide they might as well give it Fronk.

Meanwhile, Vitor and Duncan have a wrestling match at Farhads gaffe whilst Moshiri is on the phone with Jim White saying Vitor is the new Mourinho and we're delighted to have him on a five year deal, forgetting Duncan sparked Pereira out in 3 seconds and won the job.

Ha ha Many people support these arseholes what do you expect mate? It’s like expecting that Naked Martin weirdo to stop wacking his love belter against door handles.

An appointment of a manager isn’t going to drastically change our fortunes. We have been here so many times before.

It would be difficult to gauge the level of fume if we announce either VP or Dunc today. There seems to be a groundswell of support for Fat Frank. Though for the life of me I am struggling to see him as an Everton manager, I am hoping he would be more like Martinez or Silva than BFS or FSW so I guess its a positive. He would have my support in that sense, as the best of some poor alternatives. Its hard to believe these 3 are the best we could get but I am sure someone did a thorough search???
All in all the last week or so has done little to reengage me as a fan after the FSW debacle.
How about Vitor - yet he is still in contention ?

What gets massively overlooked is thst in his first season he lost Hazard, who essentially that entire Chelsea team had been built around for the past 3-4 seasons, throw in the transfer ban and his first season was actually a very good one

What also has to be noted, what Kepa was awful that season. Like statistically amongst the worst GKs in the PL awful, with a save % at about 50% (60% and below is very bad).

I know people dont like it, but on metrics (Xg) they were the 3rd best team, and neck and neck with Liverpool in 2nd (who ran very hot). In all honesty, for Lampards 1st season this was an outstanding achievement. He just had a GK who basically threw them in the net.

Theres loads of negatives to the appointment too. We dont have as good youth set up as Chelsea, so hes not going to have the easy wins of having a James, Abraham, Mount and Tomori ready to stop in. You might say, Dobbin, Onyango, Gordon could be relative equivalents for a 10th place team.

What you would hope, is the DOF is saying, how can we find him as many 19-22 year olds who are at the point your Mounts and Tomoris were when he first got them and developed them. They should be affordable transfers for us. Whether anybody has enough sense, and the owner is strong enough to pipe his mate down is another matter though.

I just hope that at the end of the day we have Lampard as manager, Duncan no longer on the bench and Tim Cahill on the board in some sort of sports director role.
I know with Cahill many will see it as another job for the boys but he at least has had a career outside of Goodison and I can't see him being a yes man like Sharpy.
At the end of the day we are going to need some people who do have some affinity with the club when Kenwright finally goes as Moshiri is a real worry and needs to be questioned from time to time.
