I'd be worried if everton fans moaning has anything to do with his decision making tbh.

He should be picking the best team to beat a certain opponent. What worked against Leeds doesn't necessarily mean it will work against Southampton.
 
I think he needs to give Dele more game time, heck may as well start him at this point. Shift Kenny back to RB and bring Myko in. Coleman was torn to shreds today.

Anyone with half a brain can see what he is trying to do though but just doesn't have the calibre of players at his disposal. Can't do much with Keane due to injuries but that was dreadful from Gomes, should not be near the team in the next match.

I know that trying Dele Alli seems like a good idea but he hasn't played well for two years so I understand why Lampard is easing him in.

Yeah I don't mind easing him in but giving him 5-10 minutes isn't going to do a whole lot. I think at least bringing him on around the 60th-65th minute would serve him better.
 

The 4-4-2 wasn't working with Richarlison and Dom as we have seen before. The Gomes sub was a poor choice but Allan was poor too and there isn't many options.

Seems like some of these players need a Goodison crowd to drag them through matches, especially the defenders.

Pickford kept that from being embarassing.

Going to take time to work what's he's got in the midfield.
A midfield can cover up a multitude of sins, for eg Keane, Holgate and DCL's performance today but it can't do that and carry Iwobi and Gomes.
Alan in many ways is the most important player atm bc there is no real backup, worst than Mina or Grey or Doucs.

Lampard is getting everything thrown at him, these first few games
