2021/22 Frank Lampard

We’d all written todays game off as a loss, by probably a few goals. Instead we came out with great tactics, proper spirit and effort and should’ve nicked a point if not for VAR.
Few more performances like that against teams that aren’t the best in the world and with refs up their arse and we’re safe in no time.
Agree but winning games is tough and sometimes you need luck and we have none :( But if we perform the same in half a dozen games we should have enough. If Lampard sticks around hopefully we won’t be in this position again

Glad he's not held back and called it exactly what it is. Let's hope we use the injustice to fuel us.
THIS ^^^^

He needs to use the " us vs. the league / refs " narrative and keep the guys focused and motivated.
Comments like this will also keep the pressure on the PL and probably = a few calls going our way in future matches.

You tell them Frank. Its about time we had a Manager with balls. Nothing but respect for you already. If the tit heads running the club appointed him at the start of the season instead of a clueless overweight kopite, we wouldn't be in the mess we are in. He deserves better tbh and i just pray that he gets some luck and pulls us out of this calamitious situation.

Love how he says he ain't interested in the inevitable apology.

And how he names that rat Kavanagh by name in the post match press conference.
We know that having a manager mentioning him and Ashley Cole in the refs face. Still probably won’t help much at Anfield amd
Old Trafford, but refs are human and don’t want to be in the spotlight. That why it’s so easy to side on Liverpools side or Utd or city.

And they know a poor decision for Norwich or Burnley or even us, is quickly forgotten. Now Kavanagh’s name will be everywhere for hopefully a few days and maybe he gets dropped next week. So hopefully the next ref at Goodison will think twice about making a shocking decision v us

Very measured, clever interview. He never overstepped the mark and gave the authorities no excuse to punish him, but, he was clear enough about the fact that he was suspicious of the motives of the VAR ref.

Going forward I believe Frank's comments today will make it far more difficult for VAR rulings to go against us.

Struggled with it, though..haha

Absolutely love the fella.

He’s got the two away games wrong, but he’s worked hard to get these players working, if we perform like that for our final 7 home games, we’ll be absolutely fine, then we can get excited for next season.

I went into today with no expectancy of a result, but I wanted us to make the fans be upbeat and optimistic for the rest of the season.

We’ve had a ridiculously harsh decision go against us… which potentially gives us a spoil or shares against the Champions.
Who’d have thought a side who got turned over by Watford, Villa, Brighton at home this season could be revitalised.

He gets it, he wants this and it’s hard not to be optimistic. Let’s just hope we have enough to stay up.
