2021/22 Frank Lampard

Lampard has lost 6 in 8 league games.

If we lose our next few, he'd likely be sacked.

Not many managers in the league would survive that run of form - especially not one who was never the owners preferred choice, and with us staring relegation in the face.
Not many managers inherit squads on their worst run in their PL history

This is not a manager starting a season after a full preseason

no he never and vdb injury he had no other mf options

today he showed we can player better

Holgate started based on DVB injury.

Otherwise Holgate, who is a very poor CB, gets dropped, for Keane who’s not in the right frame to play and will never be elite as a result.

Better means nothing.

We need points. All that matter stuff now is getting points. Stay up: regroup. But don’t be silly, better means nothing if it’s worth nothing.

He come in with us 16th, 4 points from relegation with a game in hand. He had 18 games to play.

To relegate us he'd have to be the worst Everton manager ever - points per game wise.

Moshiri wouldn't let Lampard relegate us. If Lampard keeps losing, he'll gamble for short term uplift.

Benitez wouldn't have been sacked if we won an extra game or two. It is what it is. Results.

Who would that be?

We still have that advantage - 3 points off relegation but 2 games in hand of the 18th placed team.

Overall: it hasn't been great and if he relegates us he needs to be sacked and will be. But the situation is none of his making - and if we survive then he's done his job.

No chsnce Lampard is getting sacked IMO
Due to our financial mess that would just be insane.

It’s clear as day that these group of players can’t be coached into anything that resembles a football team by any manager in world football.

We have to go all in with Lampard regardless

We've backed ourselves into a corner. Lampard will likely be the one to take us forward regardless of whether how this season goes.

Whether we stay up or go down, it's going to be one hell of a summer to get this club moving forward again.

Not that I want this is anyway to happen, but he’s also managed in the Championship, so he knows what’s it all about in that league.
Totally agree and I think he would be the perfect man to get us back up if our worst fears did happen

i don’t agree with what your saying about lampard today - but yearh now points is a must

I haven't said I want him out. But I'm also not going to defend somebody who so far has shown no ability to turn things around.
Brentford, Leeds, City, Newcastle home, today after twice going behind and being down to 10. There’s signs there, we need that one slice of luck going our way on decisions, goals and defending

He seems to want to persist with getting this shower to play. In a relegation dog fight. They can barely string a few passes together and always have a major mistake in them.

West Ham didn’t really put their foot on the pedal today and still so many unforced errors.

no i don’t we were unlucky far different to previous away.

Unlucky in what sense? We didn't create many clear-cut chances, barely worked Fabianski and we, yet again, had a man sent off. They took off their most dangerous attacker with half an hour to spare and played a pensioner in midfield for a large portion of the game.

One of our better players was the one who cost us the game!

*If he looks like he'll relegate us, he'll be sacked.

As you say, fine margins.

We're in a weird situation with Lampard: if we stay up, this feller should have a statue made of him, because he's walked into a madhouse; if we go down, he should be sacked.

Literally a single point either way will decide his fate - not only at Everton, but probably his whole managerial career.

…a further blow to his win %, especially if you take out the cup games. i don’t think he’s got us a single point away from home.

If he keeps us up it’ll be a great relief but there’s certainly no statue. We know he’s taken over from undoubtedly the worst managerial appointment in the clubs history, a man incapable of organising a team, selling a key player and causing turmoil in the club but Lampard is not blameless for some results.

if we stay up, I think he’ll have learned a lot about himself and I’d be hopeful for him in the longer term. If we go down, he’ll still be here next term.
