So I’m probably in no position to comment as I haven’t actually watched a single game this season but from a relatively outside perspective appointing Lampard seems like a pretty mental move considering how bad the team were.

I understand there weren’t many options at the time though.

We may as well sack tonight. Lampard is a disaster and is certain to take us down. I don't think there is any saving us, but a gambler might think a final throw of the dice worthwhile given that there's nothing left to lose now.

If you can't even draw at Burnley having been handed two penalties, you're not getting the points needed to keep us up.

Not Lampard's fault this - but that's been his motto from day one. Always somebody else to blame. He was brought in to keep us up and he has failed. This fella is out of his depth. We're already a laughing stock. What's one more sacking between friends?
