Which manager couldn't say those things? No one can tell me that they would've accepted Lampard getting us relegated when he was brought in. If he takes us down, he hasn't done his job well at all.

I know we're woeful but as a manager you have to find a way.

I've been alarmed.

Itls not down to him where we are and the players we have, but if we can hand ourselves any sort of lifeline we have to try that.

Lampard is not to blame, but he appears to be nowhewre near the solution.

He's been clueless almost since the start. "Enjoy the football" as a strategy gave him wins over Brentford and Leeds, but there's been nothing else once the penny dropped with the idiot players that he was simply a famous face. He is not to blame for where we are - but he was brought in as the solution and we can all agree that he is nothing of the sort.

There may very well not be a solution. I suspect that there really isn't one now - but we can therefore either accept our fate or throw one last desperate die. We have nothing - not even our dignity - to lose now.
