I've been critical of Lampard's appointment, but despite the failures so far, I don't think getting rid of yet another manager is going to do any good. There's not enough time left in the season to start over. And it's not like we've ever seen that new manager boost from this group anyway under either Dunc or Lampard.

Away games under Lampard, conceded: 3, 2, 4, 5, 2, 3. 2 wins out of 9, and not drawn a single game. We've all witnessed relegation fights, you have to stop the rot, stop conceding, get the team well drilled and organised, get a few draws & build confidence, start picking up wins. He's done none of that, his formations and team selections have been erratic. We're definitely going down with him, we're most probably going down with someone else but I think we've got little option but to pull the trigger and roll the dice. Right now before the Man Utd game.

I doubt he'll go this month, but I'm fully expecting it to be Ferguson in the dugout for the final home game.

It takes this club weeks to appoint a manager, even when they're choosing from a field of one or two unemployed candidates. There's no way they'd be able to sort a suitable replacement out now.

Doing my head in this. Leicester won the league without the full backs going past the half way line. We need to stay compact.

The last 2 games we get at worst 2 points and at best 4 points mate if MASSIVE mistakes stop happening. The players are an absolute joke and you can't legislate for the kind of mistakes we are making

Wouldn't be surprised if he takes another break from coaching after this season if we do down...I thought he was a good solution to the issues that plagued this club, but it turns out he completely misread the situation. I understand his perspective - coming in with a positive attitude, playing on the front foot, drilling his plan into the team to set the groundwork for next season. Unfortunately due to our awful, awful, awful players and bad luck with injuries, the situation has gotten dire quickly. And I'm not sure how much it's set in with Frank and his staff that we're likely going down. They'll get it after tonight. I don't even know how much to blame him since he didn't cause the issues...but you have to also point the finger. His naivety has been exposed.

Appointing Frank Lampard under the pretence he was a good manager is like signing Lando Norris or Mazepin under the impression that they must be a fast driver, because they're in F1 - right?

Had a lot of help in his previous roles that might have exaggerated his sense of ability. This was never the job for a relative amateur.

He’s no saviour, he never was. All fool those that made that up and beleived that.

This was a last gasp attempt at bringing in a footballer who may be able to raise some spirits. And the players failed spectacularly.

Just admit like I do that as a team, we are on our knees and have given up. The club will survive this, but not in the Premier League.
