From what I remember you were quite close to Benitez’s colon weren’t you….
Nathdogg we can't use people past against each other like that time changes. It's not about who you were but who you are and want to be. Its a new manager. A new era.

I'm tweaking, into a whole new era
Team Lampard step to this, I dare ya
Wumming, on a whole new level
Let's hope city stop RS from a quad or a treblllllle... Nate daaawg

They are indeed.

We may survive for another season but we ought to be ashamed of ourselves on how we went about it.
It’s mad

I was called out by a few mates on my opinion over Lampard and how open we were
I argued that the position we were in, Lampard should of made us difficult to play against and we should fight for at least a point

Now that he is doing that, they are praising him to the hilt….. but going back they wouldn’t entertain my view

I am sure if asked Lampard would be honest enough to say the approach he is adopting now, should of been done from the beginning

He will of learnt a lot in the last few months, that will serve him well moving forward

A good manager will change and adopt new styles of play to get the best results

Lampard has proven he can the above- so a real positive

It was a bizarre hour or two even for the poster in question!
Started off by stating we are not creating chances - when clearly we are, just sadly missing too many of them at the moment!
The Klopp comparison was beyond belief, bringing up Klopp’s teams at Mainz, Dortmund and now across the park! He was at Mainz for more than five years, likewise Dortmund and now similiar at the pit! But Lampard needs to be looked at because he’s been in the job for four months and hasn’t got us playing and creating chances like them - utterly bizarre!
Then to top it all he threw in a comparison with Allardyce ???!
Got to give someone a chance to build and I didn’t want Lampard at 1st but you can see he clearly cares and it means everything to him and the way he celebrates is great even against his club(Chelsea) shows he in it full on.
He clearly learned and adapted unlike previous managers, has a fantastic back room staff as well

I actually have enjoyed this style much more than under Allardyce. We looked in much more control against both Chelsea and Liverpool and created some decent chances, particularly 2nd half on Sunday.

The one bit of umbrage I take with that mate is that...

When we played Man City, which was his second league home game, we weren't too open.

When we played S'ton, in his second league away game, what cost us was Keane and Gomes cocking up. Yes, we were poor and maybe he was too open but S'ton were in a good run of form and for the first 20 minutes we were brilliant, missed two sitters and should have had a penalty.

The only time we really were wide open was against Spurs, and that was on Lampard.

From then on, we've been much more conservative. We were conservative v Wolves - too passive if anything - and it was settled on a set-piece. We were tight against Newcastle and got the win. We were relatively decent at West Ham and until we scored were playing a good away game then Keane and Iwobi cocked up. The pass and instruction that Keane should have followed was to spread it to Richarlison as we'd been doing all game but he, Keane, decided to play it into a packed area and the touch from Iwobi was awful.

v Burnley, Everton had possession and were taking the sting out of the game at 2-2 until Kenny decided to try and shoot from 30 yards. Then Godfrey cocks up.

So while I see what you're saying I do think ever since that Wolves game there's been a definite shift and certainly since the start of April. But results haven't been there because of individual mistakes more than anything. Lampard obviously not blameless.

Individual errors have cost us a lot tbf.

I'd like to see him stay with the 4-3-3 set up. I guess we sort of did in most of the recent games against Chelsea. At Anfield it really was closer to 4-1-4-1. Ideally a consistent system will help the attack be a bit more consistent too. It's been a struggle.

Beating Chelsea and United doesn't cut it. Chances created and possession is diabolical against them two. Not what I want in a relegation battle. Need to add more flare in our relegation battle otherwise what's the point? ?
There were plenty of flares mate.

Absolute corrupt farce.

Charged for telling the truth - disgrace.
