Got that totally wrong tonight but in saying that these players would want to have a real look at themselves if the manager only has faith to put that team out against the second worst team in the country. I won't accept that he could look at Gray and Gordon and leave them for so long. Lazy and selfish from both of them all night. Gray scored one good goal from outside the box months ago and now he thinks he can shoot whenever he wants, Gordon living up to his new found reputation of doing nothing but go down, really don't want to say it but I think he's picked up an ego, just because you've got a run in this truly awful team doesn't make you a player he needs to learn that. They're both somehow possibly the worst set piece takers I've seen too, awful. Iwobi as right back provided more creativity. When Calvert-Lewin came on we put in one single cross that Gordon badly placed to no one. Also as a side note Michael Keane is everything that people claim Harry Maguire is.

Can't understand how Dele couldn't get on there, game was crying out for a player that could literally give a simple pass. Shocking from Lampard and the team that was put out.

I am a Lampard skeptic, but the key was not to lose tonight. As mentioned, if we match Leeds's result on Sunday, a point at home to Palace gets us safe.

If Leeds lose to Brighton, we need only a point against Brentford.

Frank has us in pole position to survive now with two home games. If he can't keep us up from here, he should be fired. However, I think he's been pragmatic to the point of paranoid tonight and I won't criticise him as long as we are opening the gap on the teams below us. Sunday is now huge - and potentially decisive.

Should have just tried to win tonight and would've saved us the hassle of matching anyone's result. Never before will a game be there for the taking so much.

Anything can happen in the next two games now. They're going to be much more difficult than tonight.

If it was Watford first team then fair enough. It was Watford reserves and then some. They were missing nearly all their players with any ability. It was a shocking effort it really was. From 60 mins we had to throw the kitchen sink at them but didnt, just ponderously accepted it. Imagine if we lose to brentford now which is absolutely possible.

I'm livid atm, not just for the result but the actual lack of effort or desire to win an absolutely gimme.

What worries me is the games where we are expected to take it the opposition ( the lesser teams) we are clueless. Brentford are one of these teams. I can see us struggling to break them down due to zero quality in the final third.

I don't disagree, but I'm glad he has finally realised how bad this Everton team is and is prepared to inch his way to safety. He will be judged on the last two home games. If he cannot get us safe, he will merit the sack that will invariably result.

Very negative and frustrating from him tonight

He must have zero confidence in this team to keep that setup all the way through.
