Who's the upgrade?

An upgrade on Sam Allardyce without the points? Not hard to find! But I’d be looking for a bit more than a non-effective Sam Allardyce, and actually go for one of the best managers in the world in Marcelo Gallardo.

Frank was clearly more concerned about them than about what we are doing, that is the case in the whole time he has been here. Get us playing well in a formation and style that suits and the rest will come.

But no he has to change it all around for the opponent and we get bummed anyway...

Perhaps my view is way off the mark and different to everyone else here....

But I want a successful Everton, to a certain degree the manager and whether "he gets us" is irelevent becuase that doen`t win you points....

I don`t care he is a good man manager when we are doing worse this season than in the last 20 years or so...

I do not care for any of that, I want my club to win games and stay in the Premier League and much more that!

It`s the board, do they dictate tactics, formations and player selection, yes they have created the FFP scenario along with previous managers and DoF`s, I`m sure these people would be kicking off if previous managers and DoFs were not backed as they were.
Its the players
Its the recruitment
Its previous managers relationship with fans
Its the media
He will be sound when he gets 2 attackers (He bought 2 poor ones), there is no proof that 2 players will change this team around, how does even attackers stop teams shooting at our goal? Dont forget we conceded more shots than any other team in the PL.

Someone like Potter had players playing above their ability which makes the team over perform as Brighton have done in every season, Lampard is a manager that doesn`t get the best out of players, under Lampard they play below their level.... Yes you will say Iwobi and for every Iwobi there is the rest of the squad who are playing well below par.....

But Potter finished 16th, 16th and 9th at Brighton, with some really good players too.

Has he outperformed Lampard? Didnt Lampard come 3rd with Chelsea?

And this squad was the worst in the league when he came. So what is par for them?

Lampard said he switched to 3 at the back because Davies got injured last min, added to our usual midfield 3 are away with their national teams and I believe Garner is injured.

If we must persist with playing Allardyceball then we really should be looking to bring in a set piece coach. Everyone else seems to have them, everyone else seems to have some variety and unpredictability about their set pieces, ours just absolutely stink the globe out.

It's a bit strange. But who wins and loses in football is ultimately what matters, not how many throw ins a left back has or whatever.
