Still think any coach would struggle with this attack, but it's totally stupid to change the system from a solid game at City. We needed to build a bit of momentum tonight, starting with keeping it tight at the back.

All roads lead to Dyche at this point.

It's where he's sacked himself

Own fault for when he gets fired. Playing 433 hasn't worked and yet he keeps playing it. Should have been playing 442 tonight.
Brentford line up and play different football in every game they play... so nobody can have a gameplan to counter them. Frank's 4-3-3 is not only predictable, but it seems it's very easy to dismantle... I think hes a goner.

Actually I'm not, but my political leanings have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with my thoughts on Everton Football Club or it's current manager.

Frank is clearly not a good coach and a gamble appointment that has not worked - and it needs to be rectified fast, but his politics have nothing to do with it (or do you think he's teaching the working class a lesson by telling professional millionaires to under-perform?).

I don't recall anyone complaining about his politics the night we beat Palace last season; now suddenly it's an issue.

If separating football from politics is too complicated a concept for you to grasp for your black-or-white scope, then perhaps this isn't the place for you. (Then again, on second thoughts, I think you'll fit in just fine - you know, until we get the Toxteth-born ardent socialist who puts trophy after trophy on the table).
Conservative Tory boy or Starmer Tory boy?

So it took me a while but I noticed that was our third home defeat in the league in a row so I wondered when was the last time that happened? You would think maybe under the horrendous Benitez era right? Nope think again. Koeman? silva? Martinez? big Sam? Nope

Last time we lost 3 league games in a row was the 2005/2006 season when we did it twice that season to Man Utd, Portsmouth and Wigan and then mid season to West Ham, Bolton and Liverpool. You’d think we would have struggled that season though. Nope we still finished 11th with 50 points.

I don’t even know when was the last time we lost 4 league home games in a row someone else can look into that

Lampard is our worst ever manager by a mile

As much as we all want him gone does anyone believe that our board will do anything g right now? I’m not sure they have a backup plan to cover their arses tbh
I don’t want him gone personally. I wanted him backed and given time but he was handicapped before a ball was even kicked this season.

But tonight he will do well to defend himself on that outing.

He's terrible. The board are a bigger problem but Lampard could have city's owners and still fail. Out of his depth.
The DoF is a huge, huge problem too, IMO.

But we have to trust him if the board want to actually run the club how it should be run. Let him make the call and pick the manager - or stand by Lampard and actually give him resources to work with.

He takes the blame, along with the players, for that performance, but issues at the club are bigger than him, for sure.

Results are awful. But what you can’t defend is the apparent lack of coaching in the players. There is no movement, no overlapping, no idea. And this has been clear since Frank arrived. It’s not just on him but what are the coaching staff actually doing.

In his presser he pointed out Brighton are a possession based team that play through the lines, like city, but obviously not city.
So why didn't he stick with the formation that worked, even if it was a worldie that drew that game? They carved us open tonight, spaces everywhere.
Whatever the reason he didn't start that way, why the hell didn't he switch to it when it was obvious what was happening and obvious McNeil would rather turn into a defender using his left foot than run into well worked space and use his right foot(Brighton were just looking at him he was so predictable)
I like Frank but can't find any excuses for him tonight
