Needs to go after tonight. Regardless of the result. The tactics are baffling. Iv no idea what his coaching staff are trying to implement with the players at Finch Farm. Do they all just gather round in a circle whilst Ashley Cole talks about Cheryl?

Brighton, they had their manager pinched & they had a replacement in a day later of the same mould and continued Potters good work.

Not us though, we’ve been on a bad run of form for months now & they’ve not been speaking to anyone? Infact they should have had a plan in the summer just incase.

I know it’s nothing new but it really is ran like a club in the 90s. Absolutely ridiculous.

A defeat so crushing that they have no choice but to be forced into action honestly wouldn’t be the end of the world.
I think they will be able to manage a crushing defeat quite comfortably mate. Hello Bournemouth and Brighton. God knows what set up he will try tonight but you can guarantee it will go wrong.

I want to win, but worst outcome could be some sort of creditable loss, like 2-1 in extra time or something. The board might take that as a sign to back Lampard as manager and not need to focus on signings.
Indeed. Worst outcome for me is that he is allowed to manage any more games at all for us. I like him more than i have quite a few of the previous managers but he is an absolutely terrible manager and needs a few more years experience before being allowed to manage another PL team.

If they are to back him as manager then the only way to do it is by making signings.

Just like if Lampard gets sacked, the only way to back the new manager is... by making signings.

New players HAVE to come or we go down.

There's no way that's happening. The board is incompetent, but they're not completely stupid, and they'll have no intention of seeing their investment go up in smoke by letting the team get relegated without doing anything about it. Last season we were in a similar position and they made 5 signings. I have no faith whatsoever that they'll identify and sign the right people, but I would be absolutely astonished if they don't make signings and sack the manager if he doesn't turn it round quickly. They have a lot to lose.

Yes I agree I suppose, but quite a tricky thing to support lol won't watch the game I don't think

Thing is Lampard doesn't deserve that, let's be honest.

He's a problem, because ultimately he doesn't look cut out for it, but he's been failed by those above him and whether we lost 1-0 and had a load of ref calls go against us or lost 8-0, they'd stay in place.

Tonight's been used as the yard stick, which sums up our crap board. They can't make a decision so are putting it onto a cup tie at a ground where we've won one game in about 70,000 years.
