Nah, when you’re ahead against a side at the same sort of level as you it should be about tactics. Telling the players that tactics don’t matter is how you end up conceding 2 goals from being on the attack, which is coincidentally what we did.

His position was untenable since Bournemouth, Mike. People were just in denial. It had to become an utter shitshow before the penny started to drop for a critical mass of people. And even now he has some defending him because "stability" or some such guff.

The window to remove the manager and genuinely hope for a serious pick up in form lasted from November 12 to the night of the Brighton game. That would have given us a chance. Now? We have no option but to sack, but our owner is adamant that we need "stability" and his board have, essentially, declared war on the fanbase today. This is not a hierarchy ready to take clear, decisive action that can help rescue our season.

I am sadly worn out from Everton. I found it impacting my personal life last weekend - my mood was, apparently, morose and contrary. I didn't even recognise that in myself. But, others did...

No, I am resigned now. Part of me thinks a small percentage of our fans deserve this. They clapped Kenwright on the jumbotron like seals. Others are STILL in denial about Lampard, determined to be smugly pious about "stability" while simultaneously oblivious to Lampard's complete and utter car crash of a performance.

We could have moved in November. We didn't. We could have sold Gordon in August. We called him "special" and kept him. Fatal decisions at all levels at this club.

The fact that our owner and board have not been able to act to sack him by now is a shocking indictment of how out of control they've let this club get.

It's completely unacceptable that Lampard is still in a job right now.

If Moshiri does not want his investment to depreciate even further he needs to do something that is to keep us up in the PL. And the only way is to find a good manager as replacement.

Last 7 PL games, defeats to 15th, 16th, 17th & 20th on the current table. 3 out of 4 at Goodison. Face off with 18th next game. You could not possibly have a worse run of results could you?

I have just seen the table when Benitez was sacked last year and noticed Newcastle were 19th with 12 points from 20 games with only 1 win!

It's not too late we can get out of this mess there is half the season remaining there is plenty of time left but we need a new manager as well as some attacking reinforcements.
