Considering this has been an angry thread, and, to be fair, lately a sad one about someone losing his job, there have been lots of very funny comments lately, mainly around 'he's gone'. Well done and thanks, everyone. Made me chuckle a few times.

Like I said, I can understand why people say we'll do a Leeds, just pointing out that it doesn't have to be the case. To be honest we've got the nucleus of a side that should do well in the Championship as it stands.

I don’t think this team as it stands would get promoted, but I also don’t think it’d be relegated from the Championship either. I could see this exact squad with no further additions finishing between 12th and 8th in the Championship. What happens in the summer will be key to determining if we can compete for promotion, our choice of manager right now has to be made with the consideration of building for promotion too.
