My only hope is we are for once working on a replacement before we announce Frank is sacked, so we can announce the two with not long in between. However, that is how a well run club does things so......

….the team has still been set up poorly. The signs have rarely been good that he’s capable of a well organised formation.
I agree mate, some of his in game and pre game management decisions have been dire, or at least looked it.

However I can't get the fact out of my mind that having absolutely nothing to offer up front has been a killer for setting up a formula for success. It's impossible to do.

A disgrace for a premier league team to be in that position. The inexplicable amount of money spent on purchases and loan deals for players who are no part of the set up is criminal. A big target man or 2 has been needed for the last 3 transfer windows. Unforgiveable.

Not sure rooney would be a good candidate. No doubt he will show more passion for obvious reasons, but apparently his management style is similar to ferguson meaning delegating most of the actual coaching, and really mainly focusing on strategy, tactics, etc...
Seriously. We have to stop this nonsense. Neither Big Dunc nor Rooney should be serious candidates for the Everton job. They have neither the experience nor the competence to take on such a big job/ nor have they done anything outstanding that indicates that they are particularly talented managers.

No. Well-run clubs would have had shortlists drawn up, just in case, around the time of the Bournemouth debacle.

Then, they can give the manager time to turn it around if they wish, but they will then be ready to swing into action if thay doesn't happen.

It's clear Everton haven't even considered the possibility until yesterday ?
