2022/23 Frank Lampard

Probably been said a thousand times on this thread already, but good riddance and his sacking can't come soon enough.
Way out of his depth, doesn't know what he's doing, can't set a team up to attack or defend.
Only accepted because of who he replaced and had the fanbase doing mental gymnastics to accept him as 'one of us'.
Look at our squad compared to that of Wolves, Southampton, Bournemouth, Brentford and Forest who have bought about 60 new players and forged a team going upwards.
Any half decent and competent manager would get far more out of this squad of players as far as motovation and organisation than he's done since he's been here.
Wing and a prayer and ridden the good will of not being Benitez and just about keeping us up last season.
I'm no fan of Dyche, but we stand about 75% more chance of staying up if he was given the job.
Lampard will be lucky to get another job anytime soon and if it is, he should be managing Charlton, that's about his level of expertise.
OK, it was a punt on an 'upcoming' and 'promising' manager but in reality he should've been sacked during the World Cup break and get a decent manager in then with time to prepare for the upcoming fixtures and the January window.
This absolute mess could have been foreseen by any half decent board and contingecy plans put in place.
But no, in true Everton style, we've again waited for the inevitable to happen and then 2 games plus before we acted.
Some sympathy for Lampard, done his best, tried hard, but he's been given decent money to spend and he really doesn't have a clue what he's doing or how to use the players at his disposal.

Doesn't sound like a happy camp behind the scenes, that alone will take us down and given we can't sack players the manager needs replacing. Quite why it isn't announced yet is baffling.

pay him off, thank him for his work as he looks 15 years older than when he took the job and employ someone who knows who to organise a football team.

The longer it goes on the more overwhelming feeling of dread that he is actually staying begins to set in
I am a bit concerned that the leaks around players falling out with the manager are there as something to blame, but at the same time surely the board know that its the end when these things happen?

It could also be a case of giving him a chance with money, but even if we have a couple of decent games in February in response to maybe selling Gordon and getting a couple in, Lampard has shown us nothing to indicate that he'll be able to fix anything when, not if, things start going bad again around March
