2022/23 Frank Lampard

I’d have taken a point before the game and there were positives. He does have to take some responsibility at some point though, we can’t just completely absolve him of blame for ongoing poor performances and results.

Every fixture looks really tough. Leeds away probably being our best chance for 3 points over the coming weeks. Lampard will get as much time as reasonable, but questions will be asked if he goes into October without a win.

I think it's a huge game midweek. The release of pressure if we get that first win will be a big lift for Lampard and the squad.

First half was good, got the goal, were in control keeping the ball well. Then we just switched off in the second half. It’s the silly mistakes and sloppiness Lampard has to cut out, but we’ve been doing this for years. Nothing wrong with the formation, players just can’t concentrate to score chances (Gray) and can’t concentrate to defend for 95 minutes. Ultimately that makes games very difficult to win.

How could he not add another midfielder while we were up, cost us the game. The system wasn't working again. We were lucky to be in front but he had to change it when we were.
I really don't know what he is seeing, we were lucky to get a point today.

I don't know about anybody else but to me , when he makes a sub we look worse off.
That's because he has to bring on Keane, Davies and Rondon. Vinagre looked alright. If we were bringing Godfrey/Mina, Gana/Garner/Kudus and Maupay/Brereton Diaz on we'd have looked fine. He has to make the changes, Holgate was injured, seems like Myko was too, Onana still isn't fully fit and if we had a striker on the pitch already we wouldn't have had to bring Rondon on.

We look worse because we are worse, that's down to the level of the players not exactly the decision to make changes. Hopefully once we end the window we could have a squad of 15 or 16 players that are a good enough quality to actually positively effect our games, at the moment the manager has little choice, you can't really fault him for bringing on his what might be at the end of the window 5th choice CB, possibly 6th choice midfielder and 4th choice striker when the changes have to be made and we look worse because of it.

We are accepting mediocrity here, not just accepting it, we are excusing it, and if you think a striker is going to make a difference well
The forwards aren’t clinical. Gray should have make it 2-0 yet he ditched and ditched. Useless.
