A draw and a defeat would mean Lampard has taken 23 points from 24 League games. That is over half a season with relegation form.

I dont mean to be a pedant, but that wouldnt get you relegated in most seasons now.

He came in, to a side with 1 win in 14 games on a woeful run. Somehow turned it around to keep us up.

He has had a pre season now, has lost our best player, our other attacker in injured and is starting the season without a striker. There has to be some perspective here. With this squad, showing form that keeps us up is a starting point.

We were out of the relegation zone when he arrived, then with a few games left we were 5 points adrift, so if it was against all odds it was his doing. Not like we were 10 adrift when he came.

What sort of an argument is that? His job was to keep us out of the relegation zone by the end of the season... Which he did.

We weren't mate.

We were likely to go down. 1 win in 14. Had we repeated anything like that form, we would have been relegated by some distance.

It was a bit of a miracle we stayed up, given the state we were left in by the previous manager.
