Early doors says he has been far from perfect. One thing I’ve taken to from his teams so far though is that we seem to be competing in every game. How often would we get horribly outplayed and win by sheer luck if at all.
You see less of that with this squad so the games are infinitely better to watch. We need to start converting that to points though or we are nothing more than fancy relegation bait. The footy has a purpose- it’s not meandering like Silva and it’s not lacking ability like so many of our sides these past few years. Gotta finish chances though.

I think most are having realistic expectations on this season. Frank is trying to build a squad from the ground up and we are showing improvements as the season goes on so far. Plus it’s only the first weekend in September. I think it is you who is out of touch with reality. Go support City if you want everything handed to you lol
Another thing heavily in his favor is the very clear rapport he develops with the players, especially the younger ones. His age helps on that, because he's just old enough to be seen as an authority figure but still young enough that they would have grown up actually watching him play. So he gets a tremendous amount of respect from them for that.
And that translates into them listening to his coaching and actually getting better. I mean, what he's done with Iwobi is downright miraculous - from a player most couldn't wait to be rid of to one of the first names on the team sheet. We're seeing Gordon and Patterson showing fairly quick improvement too, and "marginal" players like Davies and Holgate have also been improved enough to be pretty dependable contributors so far this season.
Give the man enough time and another solid window or two of backing in the market, and I think we'll have something really special going on here.

So why the need for the hero worshipping based off zilch ?
I dont get it. If he stablises the club and gives us a decade of top half/7 finishes like Moyes did then I'll be on the Fronk bandwagon meself - so far he's done nothing here or in his career to warrant the Cult like worship of him.
I used to cringe at that lot across the park when Klopp first joined with their arse kissing of him but at least he had a CV to somewhat warrant it !

I'm not arsed how well a manager speaks in press conferences, if they "get" us (whatever that means), if they sprint down the touch line doing somersaults whenever we score a goal showing "pashun".
