Think thats true, but Villa's set piece marking was also dreadful. Hard to think that most teams wouldn't have put something away in those chances.

Even with Villas 2 goals, Its hard to think the defense hasn't improved. Especially Coady made me feel far more assured. We wont concede 66 again. Maybe even controlling that end of the park to comfortable safety removed of the goal droughts on the other end.

But the question of what the manager is adding to results is personally still blank. I dont really care where we finish as long as we dont have to sweat post Christmas, but patterns of play and improvement of our longterm pieces I do expect and hope for. On that front Lampard continues to leave me unsure. That said its early goings.

they didn’t dominate they had possession and we sat off

and they were at home

We couldn’t get the ball, we can’t win 50/50, we sit too deep, we can’t string any meaningful attacks for long period. We struggled for ideas from the middle third. I don’t think any team playing this way deserve a result in this league.

I want to give him more credit than that, he doesn't strike me as someone who couldn't adapt if asked. I understand wanting more security during this time but, if you've got players you feel you can trust, start working on what you want to do ASAP...I'd rather see it now than after the WC or something.

If you rate Tarkowski it's because he played in Dyche's system for years dealing with balls into the box. Why on earth dont you play to that strength?

Dont run Keane down too much. He can have some very decent games. And having a leader alongside him would take a lot of pressure off him.

He made a big mistake today by not learning lessons from the Chelsea game.

Now he's seen in two consecutive games that we cannot ever play McNeil Gordon and Gray as an attacking unit again.

There can be no more excuses. Are you telling me that Simms or Dobbin would be worse options than those three together today?

Has to be Alli and Rondon next game with two of those useless three gets dropped. All as bad as each other, and they simply cannot be regulars in this side unless we actively want to get relegated.
