Strong rumours here that the once sought after Adu will be joining me in Southampton next season...in league one!!!

What happened to this kid? Wasn't he supposed to be the nuts?

I would like this move.. he should have did this 3 years ago

I think he's got a lot of ability, but he doesn't really know how to use it. When and if he can developing a footballing brain, that's when Adu will start living up to the hype that he had a few years back.

The hype is what killed his mind... He was to young and it was to much preasure.. He is only 20 now

The rumor is fake, Adu has been starting for Aris in the Greek league, who will be playing in Europe this summer, and will remain on loan from Benfica. It's a travesty that he won't be at this years World Cup, as he's still our most talented player, but he made some really stupid decision this year which put him off the team.

I doubt that.

There's no one on the US team who can dribble or pass like Adu, or bend shots in the same way. In terms of raw talent he's our best. In terms of applying that talent he has much to learn, but he's doing well under Hector Cuper playing on the left wing, where hopefully he continues to learn how to better hold positional shape, perhaps next season he will get more time as a withdrawn forward or an attacking midfielder where he can really play to his style.

Right now there are only two U.S. players who can do the whole three of passing, shooting and dribbling at a high level and those are Donovan and Adu, maybe Stuart Holden could become one of those players too.
