Some countries are having internationals. Regardless of international/winter break why aren't we keeping the players fresh with a friendly or two? Especially considering we're going into an extremely pivotal period. 2 weeks off for them is too much.

I don’t begrudge the players time with their family, and have to believe the best players make the right choice with their leave. I just hope they really turn up next game.

If Everton win, everyone will feel good, however you can’t help but think that staying fresh and focused on the job is key given the clubs situation on and off the pitch.

Given how few games we played in the last 2 months because of other teams' excuses it makes sense for the new gaffer to get to know his squad with a few friendlies.
