A man handed himself into police after a helmet camera video showing an attack on a female cyclist was released.

A 33-year-old man walked into London's Bethnal Green police station and said he was the man in the footage, but was not arrested, police said.

The video showed a cyclist being pushed into the path of traffic after she asked a man not to cross the road in front of her at Whitechapel.

She was left shaken by the incident in Sidney Street on 1 May.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "The man will be interviewed by officers from Tower Hamlets in due course."

Suggest you google "mens rea" and "actus reus". I paid a lot of money to qualify in criminal law, CBA to teach you for free.

It is GBH at the very least if the woman was injured and that carries an up to life sentence. No different to this

Regardless of what that woman may/may not of done.

He chased her about 50 metres up the street and assaulted a woman.

When he could of laughed. Went and got a coffee.

No one hurt except his ego.

I wonder if there would be the same air of "had it coming to her" had she ended up under the wheels of a car behind her because this twunt ran after her and shoved her off her bike? Imagine that was your mother or sister.

It's a bit of a strange one as to what actually happened.. didn't she say "PLEASE don't try knock me off." - seems strange she would be so polite and then flip him the birdie simultaneously.
