From the land of quality, cheap lager

Yeah, I'm all about the local ones here, there's a move away from the older, bigger breweries to a smaller scale effort. Some of them are quality, so you appreciate the ones that aren't.
Same here - the local breweries far out perform the big national affairs- same seems true every time a business becomes big enough to be a brand - they just become safe, anonymous and cheap to make but for some reason people still pay for a known dreadful brand.

I remember when I went to Prague on holiday when I was 17 and when I ordered beer it came in a glass that was half beer, half head. I thought it was just this one spot but happened every pub, restaurant or club I went to.

I later asked an elderly man outside a speakeasy under one of the bridges who told me a story about the flooding and why the beer has so much head.

Unfortunately this was Day 4 and I was so pissed I haven’t a clue what he said now.

Yeah, that's how it's served here and it took a bit of getting used to, not just because of fighting through the foam to get to the lager, but also because of the pride they take in it. The place where I drank before lockdown, the locals there (štamgast) would complain if their was no foam clinging to the glass after they finished the lager.

Hi everyone, long time lurker who started an account as a Christmas treat. Lifelong Evertonian, despite being raised in west London thanks to my uncle who would take me our away games and, once I was old enough, a couple of trips a year to Goodison. I still have a soft spot for Wimbledon, the real Dons, not the Franchise in MK. I moved to the Czech Republic in 2012, where I live with my wife and two daughters in Pilsen, home of the greatest and cheapest lagers in the world. They don't show many of our games here, so expect to find me commenting late on matchday threads because of the crappy streams I use or complaining about commentators because I am happiest when complaining about stuff I can't control or change.
Lends a grand mate

We’re already on page 2 and you still haven’t been asked your pizza preferences, GOT standards are dropping!

Are you a person of taste and discernment who wants to be part of team Pineapple on Pizza or have you yet to experience its joys?

Whichever it is, welcome and hope you post lots and have fun (or as much as Everton allows us ;) )

After a healthy use of google translate, I found that @Bruce Wayne did the honors.

Dobry rano . Chutnas ananas na pizzu?

pizza s ananasem není pizza

It seems our new member of GOT is not Team PoP.

Ah well, more pizza for us ;)
Yeah, Bruce took care of this already. I don't want to start off on the wrong foot with anyone, but, the only reason you'd eat pizza with pineapple is because it's the sweet to follow the savory. So, pizza with pineapple as a dessert following a proper pizza would be ok, but then it's a dessert and no longer a pizza, also you're eating two pizzas. So, I have to say I am team pineapple on pizza means it's no longer a pizza but ok for a dessert. Team PoPinPoD.

I visited Pilsen a few years ago, don’t remember much other than climbing up a clock tower in a church or civic building. We had our dinner in the Urquell brewery and a few pints of top-notch unfiltered ale somewhere back in the town centre, welcome to GOT
