FSC buying Setanta, and what happens next ...

it was worked out for one weekend but what happens starting with next weekend?

I like the idea of a 2nd Fox Soccer channel but I wish this could have been settled during the major offseason for European football.

Ultimately this is a good thing. We Americans have to pay for two separate soccer packages previously if we wanted all game (since EPL games were split between the two channels). Finally I'll only have to pay one soccer package price!

Now bring on the HD broadcasting for the states already...

Trouble with all this is my network Dish Network will shuffle their feet and we won't see a smooth transition. What happens when you have a channel and nobody supported it. It's like BBC America in HD nobody has it. So I expect next year at the earliest for me in HD and the new soccer plus channel. I will consider moving to Direct TV.

So, my guide for Setanta says "off air" after this weekend. Guess that means it will not be replaced (on Comcast) by FSCplus.

Rubbish.

The lack of information from Fox Soccer on this has been quite frustrating. I found Setanta to be every bit worth the $15/month I shelled out. Hell, I even started watching rugby.

My only hope is that FSC Plus will be available at least by the start of next season ... I quite got used to having 6-8 of the 10 EPL matches available each weekend.

Is there anyone out there who knows they're getting FSCplus when it launches on 1 March?

The Satellites are getting FSC plus. Don't know about Comcast but hopefully.

Thanks to espn we get about 5 matches a week now which is nice. I'd like to see some championship and UEFA goblet matches though on it.

I don't want dish satellite as it cost too much insurance wise in my apt. complex. Plus, I don't need that many channels.

I just hope Cox cable picks it up relatively soon as I grew used to all those matches per weekend.

I am just mad that I won't be able to watch the Russian Premier League, championship league, and Ligue 1.
