Gordon from the ridiculous to the sublime back to the ridiculous then in about ten seconds of play

What frustrates me the most is that Gordon is far from slow, yet when he dribbles towards an opposition he hesitates, slows down and is easily shown away.

I'd rather he simply knocked the ball past them and tried to use his pace rather than try the sublime, which he fails to do more often than not.
