I had free tickets to Leicester Man City earlier. Leicester are way way way worse than both teams I’m watching here. And City were very pedestrian. City looked bored. Point here and a raucous win next week is fine.

I think this is exactly what it is, although to what extent is just conjecture. We're relying on a player who isn't anywhere near the finished article.

That says more about the club than him.

It's arguably only his second full season as a first team starter too. He's been around a while, but he wouldn't be the first to struggle 2nd full term.
