Even if he never kicks a ball he is a great man to have around the panel.

I actually think hes being lined up. ;)

Its all out for the last dance, be the last year for Jamsie, Fitzey and one or two otheres - Jack loves Dessie and I think Mannion has come back fir the boys to - one last medal in this team ....maybe.

Surprised and sad to see Armagh drop mate after the hiding you dished out to us last season. Where are you with Geezer?

Clare are already down i think mate!
We haven't played Clare in the championship since 2015. Their league record against Cork in more recent years is decent enough though.

The words Clare and Ennis, bring back flashbacks of that last second Martin Daly goal to knock us out of the championship in 1997!

We pulled off another double that year. 1997 was the year of double hurling and football championship exits at the hands of Clare!

Mad that Dublin could be seen as almost dark horses for Sam given their recent dominance.

I think Geezer has been unlucky with injuries and Armagh have been harshly treated in the media re their style of play. Every team in Div 1, with the exception of Mayo, play defensive first.

Geezer needs to win Ulster this year though or it will be seen as a failed year.

I think we're going all out for this year, the whole league was about strengthening the panel, the starting 15 - which we haven't seen yet picks itself in my opinion. We are very open mind, so i see us conceding a fair bit - where that will take us im not sure, we have the players, but others will be equally as confident. Really enjoyed Div2 this year, got down to the Gaelic Grounds and the new PUC - great trips we dont usually get down to.

Think Armagh were really unlucky, a weakened Mayo side beaten by Monaghan last week - seems fairly unfair - though i suppose it over the whole programme.

Be interesting to see how Ulster teams fair this year, they will have more tough game milage then everyone else coming into the new extended All Ireland series. Looking at Derry yesterday they will hard bet, they are one trick machine and a hard watch, but are well drilled and functional with one or to good players thrown in as well, tough team - Glass went off injured mind. Ulster be hard won as usual, hope Armagh do it! ;)

Sligo beat Wicklow 2-10 to 0-14 in the division 4 league final. Cavan beat Fermanagh 0-16 to 1-07 in the division 3 final.

Dublin beat Derry by 4-06 to 0-11 in the division 2 final. A Dubs and Cavan double well done @Bluerover ! Mayo beat Galway by 0-14 to 0-11 in the division 1 final.

Unbelievable scenes in the Bronx last night with NY finally winning a provincial match. Leitrim's penalties were god awful but should take nothing from New Yorks win. Bigger test next game but they'll put it up to Sligo.

The Ulster championship match wasnt a great spectacle in truth, Antrim struggled to create anything (despite scoring a good goal). Far to many wides. Armagh didnt have to get out of 2nd gear.

Clare 0-14 Cork-013, yeah i knew that one was a potential banana skin! The Cork footballers are very much like Everton, when you think they're finally making progress you get smacked right in the face!

If Clare beat Limerick they will be in the all Ireland qualifiers, with regards to Cork the whole thing is up in the air now, whether we get into the all Ireland qualifiers, is dependant on whether the other results go our way. We'll done to the Banner anyway.

Armagh used that game to get minutes into legs so job done. I’m nervous about Cavan though, particularly at Breffni.

Ennis is a hard place to go but that is disappointing for Cork. I thought you had turned the corner after a couple of hard years on and off the field.

Brian Hurley was out injured, really outside of Brian Hurley and Steven Sherlock we lack a bit of quality up top. John Cleary needs to be given a fair crack at the job though. He should have got the managers job ten years ago imo.

Limerick crushed Kilkenny in the hurling league final by 2-20 to the Cats 0-15. An ominous sign indeed, the Limerick machine is showing no signs of slowing down!
