I'd say we missed the bet today, around fifty to one on that double alone.

First time I saw Ciaran Kilkenny in the flesh was in the 2011 minor final which Tipp won. Also scoring for the Dubs were Paul Mannion, John Small, James McCaffrey, and Cormac Costello. Tipp never gave up and delivered a suckeblow to win.

Scoring survivors from the Tipp team from that historic win are Colman Kennedy, Michael Quinlivan and Bill Maher.

Tipp were down by 2 with 5 to go. Philip Quirke, on as a sub was excellent in the air, and helped Tipp score 1-1 to shock us Dubs.

First MFC title since 1934.

Last Tipp SF final appearance was 11 June 1922 when Tipp won the delayed 1920 title, beating ...yes Dublin 1-6 to 1-2.

In 1923, Dublin won the 1921 and 1922 titles, beating Galway and Mayo - tough times back then!!

My big question is will Tipp wear the Grangemockler jerseys again??

How are your genealogies as regards these semi finals?

Me - born and bred in Dublin. Living in Kilkenny 31 years, love the place but also can't bear the natives when it comes to hurling!! Nearly as bad as the Cult !!

Parents - Cavan and Dublin

Grandparents- 3 Dublin 1 Cavan

Gt Grandparents- 3 Dublin 2 Tipperary 2 Cavan 1 Leitrim

I won't go back further but a mix of Dublin, Leitrim, and Tipperary!

I would love 6 in a row, but I would find it hard not to be proud if Cavan do the impossible. With my ancestry and a Tipp wife, I also really hope Tipp make it to the Final - they have nothing to fear!

Granny from Cavan, gt grandparents from Cavan and Tipperary, lost my innocence to a Mayo girl on holiday in Galway and like everyone else in the 31 other counties don't want Dublin to win. lol

The Jersey was just for yesterday, I'd imagine o Neills will be producing more of them when they go on sale next month.

It's a beautiful jersey, thank god we got past Clare and Limerick and the lads were able to wear it with pride yesterday.

That's a pity they're not getting worn again. Beautiful shirt, gonna get 1 when they go on sale.
