I think we should do something unprecedented and back the youth in Gibson and Branthwaite. Give Gibson his chance and Give Branthwaite a properly calculated Championship loan. No need to buy Zouma/Gavbriel/anyone.

I think it’s More a sign that money is tight. Corona will impact the finances of all clubs and were no different. It reduces match day revenue and will probably have some impact on TV revenue.

Exactly, but its easier to blame Brands for not throwing £30m away when the club had no idea about how a global pandemic would affect the club.

There could still be big financial implications next year. We just don’t know.
Transfer fees and salaries will be squeezed and the shape of deals will be different. There will probably be more structured payments and c a lot more loans.

I don’t think CB is in urgent need of surgery. Mina, Keane and Holgate with a backup of Gibson or Branthwaite is not horrible. Piece by piece rebuild required. CM is the area that needs most urgent attention. A top CB is maybe what we’ll need to make the step to genuinely challenge for CL places but that’s not realistic next season.

BUT BRANDS IS PENNY PINCHING AND THE CLUB SHOULD BE THROWING DOLLAR DOLLAR BILLS LEFT RIGHT AND CENTRE TO SIGN PLAYERS, EVEN WHEN WE ARE UP AGAINST BIGGER AND MORE SUCCESSFUL CLUBS, WHO ARE BETTER IN TODAYS MARKET

Not too sure we’ve dropped our interest in a CB though?

I would imagine we do need one though, I rate Mina and Holgate but Keane is limited.

Gibson would probably be suited to going to Germany for a season and Brainwaite getting a loan too.

Tough one isn’t it, but I think we will sign a CB and may have dropped a clanger with Gabriel.
