Really? I'd think it was the other way round.
If the lad comes to us we will develop him into a better player, he'll get all the game time he needs and when a bigger club come in for him we'll sell him on.
Or he can go to napoli with a mental owner a crap manager, he'll be replacing koulibaly (one of the best defenders around)so there's pressure on him from the off and napoli are notorious for not letting their players move on by refusing to sell or buy putting ridiculously high valuations on players.
We may of had a bad season last season but we are the best club out of us and napoli for this lads career to progress imo.

He's played less than 50 games in Europe for a mid table French team. He's 22 and uncapped for Brazil, albeit in and around the squad.
I get the hype, but again, why pay over the odds on someone who could turn out utter garbage in our league. That's where I see the issue with Brands not wanting to take the risk on such an inflated price.

I have re-read your posts and I cant grasp whether you think Local lads get more or less abuse than foreigners, I think I could read it both ways... no doubt that is my wrong-doing though nothing on you. I dont think it matters.
I have been going the match long enoughto have experienced hearing abuse for players of all nationalities, it doesn't come in it. Only thing that comes into it for nationality is the hype, a local lad gets hyped up more for sure and someone with a "santiago" as a name rather than "smith" defo does. In terms of criticism though, plenty last time was shared around. Gylfi has absolutely gott en the most of it (and I can understand why), along with Davies.
With regards to Napoli v Everton. Take your Everton specs off (not an insult, we all have them!) and remember that we have done nothing for my life time (1991 born). Napoli in recent years have done a hell of a lot more to be noticed. Why would we be a bigger drawer than napoli when they're in Europe? Napoli winning the coppa italia is like us winning hte FA Cup, ofcourse it's going to be part of a reason to go somewhere, players want to win. I going to be guess you are older than me @Bluewolf and that you may have seen Everton achieve things, which is great but ultimately to a random person who has no affiliation we aren't that big of drawer.
and yes I agree I don't really understand Gattuso as manager. Imagine sacking Carlo to then get Gattuso in. Bizzare. Just becuase we dont rate Gattuso doesn't mean the football world doesn't.
