Gaddafi has to be a billionaire right?? New investment/owner problem solved.

He's incredibly rich - except virtually all of his assets have now been frozen. Maybe Bill could offer him sanctuary, have a word with Cameron to let him have a few million back, then set to work on Gadaffi - The Musical.

is Gaddafi a real nutter? he would need to go in the family enclosure with his lads coz the lower Gwladys street is toooooooo crazy for a sane man like him. COYB lets get to the next round and do man city

I'm not sure being owned by the 'Gaddafi' family would endear us to the general public somehow; to quote Thin Lizzy again they have got a 'Bad Reputation'. Still, if they could fund us through a 3rd party then .. (only kidding :)

Not only that - but I for one would not appreciate Everton FC being a complete state of financial paralysis being a "seized" asset, thank you much.

fuming here. he's been sitting on his billions watching us fail to buy anyone season after season. if we had dictator backing we'd laugh at man city.

Where d'you think the hospitality tent at the Park End came from? That was sitting in the Libyan desert before he had it sent over.

I remember there were rumours of his son wanting to take us over.

We all had a laugh about old Gadaf. Then this...

"I've seen the Godfather. This is the closest thing in real life," commented a Libyan investment banker familiar with how the LIA was run.

"It is as if it is his own private farm. This was almost like a mafia operation."

Its assets were valued at around £50bn to £60bn ($80-100bn) and included shares in Juventus football club, Italian oil giant Eni, and Pearson, the owner of the Financial Times.

Saif appointed an old college friend named Mustafa Zarti to manage the LIA on his behalf.

He's already dabbling.

My mate crews on Philip Greene's yacht, and he has texted me to say that they have been given some co-ordinates 5 miles off the coast of Tripoli, to rendezvous with someone using a sea scooter, that is towing a sack of diamonds and Swiss & Italian bank bonds.

It's Chris Samulson making off with Robert Steelhammers fortune. Finally we get the FSF cash.
