Anyone do it? Since i've turned 18, i've been having a few flutters. Been doing it alot recently and won quite alot of money, especially on the horses from a few tips. Won 60 quid today and could win another 70 quid if another one comes 1st.

Do accumlators (sp?) alot aswell, gonna do one tonight i think.

Nah...im not lucky with horses, or anything else. Bit of gambling with my mates at poker n stuff - but maximum £20 etc...

...Only gambling i do do is on F1 Racing - cos mostly its fairly obvious who will win, and on ded Cert Matches, like Utd Vs some relegation team. No the odds arent good - but you still get more.

I have the odd game of poker.with a few mates just for fun,no-one can raise more than £20 on any hand and you can only lose what you have. no Ious or borrowing seen to much lost that way when we were young and foolish.Horses I give up years ago I was king of the if the last horse had won I would have cleaned up .only bet on them if its a good tip and I dont get many

Cal when I was younger I got carried away and ended up losing my weeks pay in the bookies in something like half an hour.I was single so it was only me that suffered but my mate lost as much and went home to his wife and kids with no wages.swore I would not do it again and only ever Wagered what I could afford to lose after that

Gambling! I used to spend a lot of time in the bookies as a lad, horses, dogs, but i was never a big gambler i would only lose small amounts. Some days i was up, some days i was down. Never really lost a lot, but i suppose over-all i was down.

Knocked that on the head ages ago and when i go the match i pop into the bookies and if im early i will do a horse or a dog. I always do 1st goal scorer and mainly stick with a player thru the season. David Weir used to be my favourite 40/1 and i think i got 2 up so i made profit that season, i tend to stick with defenders, but in my Joey Yobo season i had to miss the Newcastle game and he went and scored 1st. .

This season im going with Arteta/Fellaini/Cahill. Mainly Arteta and i was on him the other week versus Newcastle. I was made up he was Captain cos there was no way he was gonna let the Yak steal his pen!

I also play a lot of online poker, with ladbrokes, i try not to spend a lot and mainly just put a £5 in a week and play little tournys and sit and go games. Ive been doing quite well recently and have withdrawn a few hundred quid, so i havent put any money in for a month and managed to clear a nice profit and also got a tidy roll to play with. But i wouldnt suggest it to any1, its sooooooooo addictive and early on i spent a LOT of money.

But at the end of the day betting is a mugs game, as long as you keep the the loses small you will be fine, but never go chasing loses, cos that just gets you in deep crap. Keep a limit and stick to it. Herein ends the lesson.

I once put money on Bellamy to score when he came on against West Ham at about the 65th minute. Their backline were being run ragged and I knew his pace would cause problems. I put it on when he was only warming up so the odds for live betting were great, sure enough... he banged one in.

i enjoy a little flutter, i do a yankee most days on the horses - not large amounts though, ( a yankee is betting on all combinations from 4 markets = 11 bets in all), i bet 25p per bet = £2.75, its a good way of betting as you cover your stake usually with one bet winning (which will often be the case), and then if any of the other 3 come in your in profit. I've only done it for a few weeks but there's only been the odd day where none have won.

also the accumulator on the footy never win on them though.

The horses and dogs a Mugs game unless your in the know. I bet on Sports i have a good chance of predicting, Football, Rugby, put about 500 hundred a side a year and bet that, on average i make about 50% back on it over a season, sometimes better, do get the occasional bad season but havnt gone bust yet.

Cards are good fun if you get into it but only for fun and if you want to go to Vegas and look like you know what your doing!
