I love the geegee's, i like doing these sort of bets. You don't have to spend much an can get a decent return. An not all the horses have to win. I like doing a Flag bet, you bet along the lines of a Union Jack. or a lucky 36. Cal if you like the horses, go the races. It's the best day out you'll have. Really cheap to get in. An just take like a £5 or £10 for each race. if one comes in...day paid for. Try haydock great place an not that far.

Nip it in the bud. Dont do it, you'll end up losing your house and living in a drain beside a train line.
 
Problem starts when you lose and try and win it straight back. Used to bet occasionally on the horses when I was in London many years back, only on "tips" that were always reliable until one of them wasn't. I found myself looking at he next race to see if I could get my money back, ended up staying there all afternoon and losing a bundle chasing trying to get back even. Luckily for me I realised the potential for disaster and stopped it there, but I can easily see how people go on and on until they've lost everything.
If you just bet what you can afford to lose and accept the losses when they happen then it's fine, I don't bother though.

im not bad at the gee gees , but dont gamble much myself (my dad was a huge gambler unfortunatly).

although i do have a flutter on the cheltenham gold cup and the national. pretty good success rate too.

its funny actually becouse one of my brothers popped in the other night and was saying he's getting good results playing black jack online.

his system ?

bet on red , if it loses , double up on black , if it losses double up on red. etc etc alternate from red to black doubling up each time you lose.if you win , start again with the minimal bet still alternating.

try it , it works apparently (but could get you thrown out of a casino's if they catch you doing it)

ps with the gee gees theres an amazing book i read called 'betting with a calculator' , the system it uses is amazingly accurate on the big races but rubbish on lower races. i treid it experimentally but not with real bets.

i will try and find the book and put the formula on here so you can try it yourselves.
 
Have your monthly betting budget Cal, if you blow it in the first week then thats it for the rest of the month - no matter what tip you get.

Or just blow the money you were going to spend on gambling on hookers and crack cocaine and get instant winnings.
