Reidy's Bottle Of Grecian

The Unobstructed View
anyone been to any big games abroad, not involving Everton or 'your' team. Like going over to see Barcelona v Real Madrid or somethin'. or just a game abroad that made you go wow !! i suppose any sport really, cos if you've been to watch India v Pakistan at Eden Gardens then it deserves a mention.

Been to Spanish and Greek games, the latter being outstanding experience.

you goin' to Mehico City at any point, a visit to the Azteca would have to be on the agenda ?

didn't you go to the millenium to watch the All Blacks ?
i watched them get thumped by Australia in Christchurch

I was on holiday in Belgium about 3 years ago & we popped over the border to see PSV play Red Star Belgrade - I think it would have been a CL qualifier, so not exactly "Wow!" Really cheap though.

sport is way cheaper abroad, at the rugby you got to see 3 games if you went in early enough, i saw the 2nd 1/2 of the u21's before the main event. Aus won that as well with a drop goal in the last seconds from their own half.
i went to quite a few super 14 games as the crusaders were top dogs.
the fifa u19's world cup was on there as well, i went to the semi at the commonwealth games stadium (where Everton have played) Aus beat USA on pens.

I paid 15 euros for my ticket mate, the cheapest is 13 I think but you'd be in one of their "gates" which is a giant mosh pit of fanatical Greeks.

if i go i want the full experience, the full body sensation, even terrified has a great feelling when it's over. the relief after absolutely cackin' your pants is a full endorphin release.

I was in Prague about a year ago, and went to see Viktoria Zizkov play a game, since their stadium was right behind the hotel we were in. I had wanted to see Sparta or Slavia Prague but they had no home matches on while we were there.

The lost, and were relegated from the Czech premier league at the end of the season, unfortunately. Wasn't a particularly amazing game or atmosphere, but it was good to be surrounded by a few thousand real football fans, not like the United and Liverpool fans you'd find around where I'm from.
