@Joey66 any advice for this lad mateyLong time eater, first time grower (ooh er) here.
Our new flat is basically a greenhouse, it has big windows in the bedroom and living room that are bright and light all day and get direct sun from around 1400 onwards.
I went a bit mad for it and now have 17 chili plants growing (habanero, naga, jalapeño and cayane) and most of them are flowering and after some gentle fingertip pollinating some of them now have fruit and I'm hopeful of the rest although nothing from the Naga ones yet. I had more but I've given another 8 away to family, it was so tough saying goodbye.
I've also got a few tomato plants and I've planted the heads of a bag of spring onions in a pot and they're already 2 inches above the soil in under a fortnight.
Parsley is storming it, my coriander was eaten by critters as was the mint but its a tough bugger and it's back bigger and better than before.
I've put my name down for an allotment but it's a two year wait so I've joined a community orchard while I wait.
Got to say I am loving the gardening thing, wish I'd taken it up years ago. As soon as I get more pots I'm planting garlic, ginger and turmeric if I can find some whole that's not on a spice rack.
I've been using a seaweed feed on my chilis once a week and I heard eggshells, coffee grounds and banana skins are good as nutrients so I've been putting them all together with water and making a smoothie for my chili crew once a week too. No idea if that is right or not but all of them look really healthy so I'm going with it.

Potassium feed for your tomatoes and chilli if in fruit stage once per week - Glarilc cloves plant in November - Comfrey is a herb makes fantastic homemade potassium feed in a sack and it has a nice flower in it cut it back as soon as the flowers appear & the stuff in a sack & put in a tub with a lid on in water to the top water in it in full sun then use at a 5-1 ratio for feed in a watering can - it stinks but is great stuff or buy tomato feed.....best of luck
Use onion sets rather than seed also.......
The very fine spraying flowers with a small hand spray will set the fruits also ......

Lemon and limes you need to fetch them in winter wise usually grown ornamentally unless we have a fantastic summer......'.Yeah... I've been shot down on the comfrey tub but I'm picking my battles so that's more space for more edibles in pots ha.
I was using a hand spray to keep the soil moist when it was just tiny shoots coming through and that sounds like a really good idea to set th e flowers like that but I just like pretending my fingertip is a bee going from flower to flower too much so I'm sticking with my method for now.
Anything other edibles you think would grow really well in a pot I could start now or later on this year?
I kinda want to try and grow a lemon or lime tree but don't know if that's just insanity.
It honks a bit more than you think - good stuff , but you need a shower after using it ....Amazing cheers Joe.
I'm sure the missus will be overjoyed when I tell her about the new stinky comfrey tub, she's jealous of the love the chilis get as it is ha.
Zinnia is it indoors or outdoors? I need to see more of the leaf it may even be the genus Marigold pollinated - are the leaves succulent waxy?View attachment 94642
