I'd like to think that in the Summer we will address the Centre Back position. We shouldn't have to reply on a 34 year old midfielder who's legs have well and truly gone, Barry already picks up a silly amount of bookings and just imagine any team with pace running at him.

I think Barry will be gone in the summer. I think the 3 year deal would be in the basis of seeing how he feels each season. He seems like a top pro and I can see him in the summer saying he can't cut it in the prem and making that move to the states for a year or two. Besic will be a year wiser, along with Gibson, McCarthy, maybe Ross and definitely Ledson will be closer to the first team. If Martinez is still here we may see Baines taking up that role.

Don't think even Martinez would be that stupid mate IF hes still here next season. Barry's legs have gone and getting booked every game means he's a liability, especially because he seems to be getting a booking so early in games

Really? I thought he was so poor again. The accuracy of any pass going forward was terrible.

Imagine him playing on Sunday after the full 90 minutes tonight. Watch him play the full game in Ukraine and start against QPR a few days later though.

but did I see the old lady make him turn back around and pass the ball forward instead of backwards in the first half...did I really see that ?.if I did,then imho that is what started of our best home performance of the season,even if it was only for an hour !.

Played well last night. Change in style for the team and supprise supprise he was more like the barry from last season.
