Useless if every time the striker scores one, we concede two as we have no midfielder who can hold and track runs.

mcarthy was the player tracking other players runs, mcarthy made barrys job a lot easier as he was barrys legs, pretty much what henderson did for gerrard and we saw what happened when gerrard never had henderson next to him. barry was an important holding player and important but i dont think we would turn into a team who got over run and conceded a bag full without barry.

Not my advice, if you sign an agreement you abide by it. We can try and shandy out of it but City will drag it out so we either pay it or he gets bored and signs for some one else.
