Sorry, wrote this quickly - i meant lower end of the table (PL). Usually guys as they age look to win things and be a big help for good sides - not grinding day in day out for also-rans.

Just my two cents. I couldn't see him playing game in game out anyway at this age, so why not do it for a team that's challenging for something
And I don't mean that he'd the collecting a paycheck, but rather helping us as a squad player - he'll certainly get game time this year with Europe and presumably better Cup runs, and of course injuries
 
Apparently West Brom are in for him. Wish him well if he does go. Credit to The Fraud, he has been a great signing for us.

I want him to get that Premier League appearance record, but I can't see him getting it here.
 

I think the midfield options we are putting together would make it extremely difficult for Barry to get in the team, reckon he'll move on. But it will be sad to see him go. Despite all the stick he has taken over the years (and usually, wrongly, the focal point of fan's anger) he has been one of the most consistent performers for us. A true professional and a nice chap.

If he wants to leave, then I don't think we'd stand in his way, but he signed an extension in December, so I think Koeman will want him here next season.

Embarrassing. Barry is a class act. Slower than a tortoise in quicksand but his footballing brain, his passing range, his jawline, all top drawer.

I'll be sad when he leaves. He's a top man and a top player.
