How will Gen Z afford to live? Will we see the return of Victorian workhouses?
It's completely untrue to assume the pandemic has caused all of this, as it's an easy excuse. A lot of these studies were published in 2018 or 2019 when this tragic trend was already well on its way, and before anyone knew about Covid 19
According to this article "Suicide rates for Gen Z men have risen 45% since 2007, compared to 87% for women". It's hard to comprehend to an extent, but also not difficult at all considering what the world is becoming.
Axios - Generation Z's suicide epidemic
Young people have no hope whatsoever. I fear we're on the brink of a crisis on a scale we've not experienced before, and absolutely nothing is being done to tackle it. The far right's war on woke and using terms such as snowflake as much as humanly possible has encouraged society to sneer and/or turn a blind eye to the problems that will entirely cripple society. Eventually the masses will wake up and realise they voted for this, just like with Brexit and the last Tory election, but it's already too late.
Society is completely broken.
