Goat the most important thing with any winger we have is how they and the fullback compliment each other IMO, Kev and Coleman really play well together, think McGeady is the type that is a OK backup for both sides, the focus on that left wing should be trying to judge the type of winger who will bring the best out of Baines and will himself benefit hugely from Baines bombing forward

He's joining up with the barca first team squad, maybe there's a chance he will be back once the new manager has looked at all his players and decided what to do with the younger players, can't see him playing many games for them.

That would make total sense

When i get out of my Tadic obsession i have moments of sanity mate.

Be sad to see the lid leave, but i think Barca have gotten what they wanted out the deal personally, they wanted him to play more in a league that demands a higher work-rate, more physical and at a higher standard of player around him than at a Barca B or crappy Spanish team.

Now he has had that, he has had his lesson about how tough it will be for him, now they will sort him loose in a league that fits his style a bit more than the prem, Celta is a good fit like, the worry they probably had over a second year here is that he would get too 'Anglicised' something that got levelled at Fabregas a lot when he moved back to Barca

Good luck to the lad, enjoyed watching him (most of the time anyway) and think he'll have a big future. Let's put everything into context though, he won't be a massive loss like not getting Lukaku or Barry would be.

He had some great cameos here and there, but he never did the business whenever he started. Still has LOADS to learn as a footballer, still very raw and often naive. That's why I think the decision not to send him out again is the wrong one from Barcelona, he'll be thrown to lions over there if he plays in the first team right now. I would definitely have had him back but it wasn't to be, oh well. Least we can shake hands with him and he will hopefully keep a place for us in his heart.

There's about 50 other Spanish whizz-kids in La Liga we can go after instead, some of them will be just as good if not better than Deulofeu. Hopefully Martinez gets his transfer cap on and gets some business done before the World Cup!
