I won't be breaking my tradition of disregarding anything and everything the mail says about literally anything for this.

Would be ace though. £3m is a joke. I have big misgivings with regard to signing the boy, but fcking hell. If he's going for buttons, we can't lose.

I said in the other thread that it would be incredible business to get Payet and Deulofeu for a combined £20m.. at this rate it could be around £13m lol

FFS another article about McCarthy wanting to leave without no quotes, just about to say its a load of tosh but then realised if that's the case why do people believe the mail????

Come on now, loads of papers and online sites have said McCarthy wants out but it's blatant lies.

The mail say we are signing Del for 3 million and everyone is jizzing.

You could not make it up.

Agree for the most part but at least we've had quotes from Martinez saying he's interested in Del somewhat recently, James has never said anything about leaving

Well, kinda.

Asked about the possibility of signing Deulofeu, the Everton manager told a news conference: "It's more rumours than anything. Gerard is a phenomenal footballer; we all know that. We enjoyed his time here. I think he enjoyed his time at Goodison, and we'll always have those memories.

"Barcelona's situation is very specific in terms of the ban that they have. So I don't think that information [about Deulofeu coming back to Everton] is accurate, knowing the situation at Barcelona.

"The only thing I can say is that Gerard Deulofeu had a fantastic time with us, and we'll always keep those memories in a good place. All the fans have great memories of him."

Yep, the Daily Mail not really that reliable but hard not to get excited!

Everton will get Delboy because Delboy gets Everton. 3m probably includes a buy back clause, but hey, this is great news.
