Marc Bartra looked really good the season before last and for 12m Euros surely worth a punt. I thought he was one of their best defenders and a bit like Stones great on the ball.

Id be astounded and pised off if they sold Bartra....I think he should have played more by now. Very much like Stones in his ability on the ball.

...obviously I wouldnt give a damn about him leaving if he was joining us!

There's nothing to discuss Groucho. Sad day when one or two jokes can't be had in here, not that I have anything funny to contribute. Just lock it until something actually happens if that's how this place needs to be run, or someone set up a second thread in the alehouse for the banter.

I'm all for jokes mate, but when there's nothing to talk about it just goes way off, which we don't want in the Everton forum.

Joke away in the ale house as much as you like, but please try to keep the Everton forum at least vaguely sensible. That's all - I'm not trying to stop folk being lighthearted.

No I understand that, you can see why it's happening though, there is zero going on around this at the moment. Everyone asking "is it done yet" is just as tedious for me, just chill lads, it will happen, stop asking all the time.

For all the talk about how he was Barca B's coach Enrique isn't exactly a big believer in youth.

He is. or at least I believe so. He was put under pressure very early by the media and the fans who to be honest were being tossers in treating a club legend with anything less than patience. He didn't have much room to manouever. Was a bit annoying mouthing off about the fans attitude at the games this season only to see our own fans more than match it with their moaning.

Anyway...on topic, if Deulofeu is definitely coming I am sure it is all down to Martinez showing him he believed in.him to play an.important part near the.business end of a major league. He will still irritate us but I for one hope he hasnt lost his arrogance. We need all kinds in the squad.
