If he was happy here and playing well, I don't think Barca would buy him back just to sell him on to another club. They'd leave him here.

Thing is, Barca exercise their buy back option they have to keep hold of him for a full season before they can sell him on. Plus Del would need to agree to the deal. Unless they want him back for genuine playing reasons I can't see it happening.

Playing well here by the way. Just had another good effort.

Exactly.

Could be just another rumour because he's playing well. Same thing happened when he was playing well for us
 
His worst position is the right. He's terrible there. When he can drift around he's dangerous but he does nothing wide right except put good crosses in. Problem is he rarely gets free to do it

So, we'll get £11 million for him to go back to Barca. I guess they'll either keep him with a new manager or put him out on loan again (it says they can't sell him and has to go into the 1st team squad).

Odd deal as you'd wonder how long the contract will be when Barca resign...and you wonder how much they'd sell him on for if it didn't pan out.

Iirc we also get some of any sell on fee.

Yeah, my suspicion is if the new manager doesn't like him in preseason, we'll waive the "must stay at Barca" clause for some extra compensation and he goes to Italy for a loan that meets the technical terms of not selling him but with a guaranteed fee at the end.
 
I honestly think Barca could use him. Their bench is not stuffed with attacking options especially ones with pace. Knowing that Del really wants to play for them they could probably get away with having him basically be a super sub only and not playing much without him being too angry about it
 

It'll be sad to see him go if he does but he's been good at Milan and fair play to him.

Just don't think he's suited to Koeman's game even though at first the signs looked promising.

Shame cos he'd boss it in Europe next year.

£30mill for players that are not currently contributing and have no future here is excellent. Thats paying for a Keane/Sigurdsson.
