Germany v Spain

Good for Spain.

That said, good riddance to Aragones. Now perhaps Mikky will get a look in when he's playing at his best level.

They were the best team even though a Brasilian (Senna) was their best player in my opinion. Now I know why Villareal finished 2nd. Senna reminds me of Essien if Essien could pass and dribble.

I thought the ref was good. Let the game flow and didn't disrupt things for silly niggles. That so called headbutt for instance, tell them to stop being tarts and get on with it.

I thought in the first half the whole Ballack not being allowed to play with a cut was a bit farcical.

Then at the end when Mario Gomez was adjudged to have upended Marchena was laughable. Schweinsteiger had the ball at his feet on the edge of the six yard box and probably would've levelled had the ref not blown for that incident involving Gomez.

but Spain deserved their win non the less. Most of Germany's defence look like they'd be a liability in a Sunday league side, how Metzelder plays for Real Madrid I'll never know.

I think he has a case this time, that ref was shocking in my opinion.

Even more shocking than that 2 hand pull by Ballack, that ended up in a goal for the germans?

What about Kazim's injury? They kept going regardless of the injury. Shouldn't the ref stop play?

Ive been a big fan of Kazim since watching him at Sheff Utd. but he got injured because Lamm faked him out of his jock. Play should never be suspended until a whistle unless there is a head injury.
