Getting in the mood for Halloween

I just tend to ignore it like other crap events during the year (easter/christmas and all that [Poor language removed])

Although Halloween is the best one cause its about ghosts and vampires and other cool things.

I hate halloween, its my sons birthday and sadly he died when he was 6months old, so instead of being left in peace i have to answer the door all night to kids..
I will be thinking of you mate,it must be a awful time,I feel guilty now because I hate having to keep answering the door as I have problems getting out of chairs and walking, but I would take my problems any day compared to yours.

I blame the Americans for this trick or treat lark we never had it when I was young.and dont get me started on Mischief night:@

I dont lok forward to cleaning the eggs of the windows after I've ran out of things to give the kids. Its like blackmail night. Pay up or else. When we were kids Roy we were lucky if we got a turnip now these days they want everything you've got. Biscuits, sweets, fruit, pop and while your in the kitchen get me the keys to your car. (n)

Where I live in Old Swan Ray its all bungalows for people like my wife and I but it makes no difference last year they must have thrown with out exaggerating 30-50 eggs at every ones windows and cars.and this is FUN?:(

Not so bad where I live, I'm hoping that with the credit crunch putting up the price of eggs it should be less messy this year.

When I lived in Scotland, we had one spoilt little get (Ryan) who asked could he change his mars bar for a brain licker. I could have decked the little swine, really I could. The other kids were all well behaved, though. But then I was in a small village and we knew all the kids there. And if any of them had dared chuck an egg at our window ...

It apparently causes all sorts of health issues in kids.

Well contrary to the experiences you all are having over there, it isn't that bad here in our neighborhood.

Either mom or dad sit in the driveway in the lawn chair and bucket of candy while the other takes the kids up and down the street. We all end up gathering in someone's driveway at the end while the kids dig into their candy and the parents sit around and talk.

If the weather is nice, it ends up being a pleasant evening.
