I log on with the facebook tab but I keep getting logged out after about 5 mins of being inactive. I can find anything in settings to change this. Its not a new issue or anything but its just getting on my goat at the moment. Is there anyway to stay logged in indefinitely?

Cheers

Nah it doesnt work when you log in via the facebook tab for some reason. oh well.

Other people logon with Facebook and don't seem to have problems with "remember me" not working. Try a different browser, clear out your cookies and stuff like that. If nothing works then PM Groucho and let him know you're still struggling. It might just be an anti-Irish thing though so there's no guarantee of success. If it's really bugging you then Groucho can probably "unlink" your GOT account from your Facebook account and you could then logon as a commoner.

In all honesty mate it's a common problem with sites that run vbulletin, there's a couple of fixes on their forum depending on what OS you run, full list of OS and fixes for each are on their forum mate;

As I understand it, it's "a problem" with Facebook Connect, not sites that run vBulletin. It's a Facebook script, they define session login/logout time - we (or vBulletin) can't alter it.

There's no recognised Facebook session timeout issue on the platform we're on. The link you've supplied is vBulletin 5 - we're not on that platform. Thankfully.

As standard, GrandOldTeam account session timeout time is 900 seconds/15 minutes.

Facebook Connect accounts session timeout time is 5 minutes
