It's easy to miss the fact that with Baines and Arteta we regularly aimed for the near post, meaning the ball had to be fairly low. Silly corner tactic to do, but it was employed by moyes. If you watch some corners from previous seasons, you'll see Jagielka making the front post run

We paid half a million for Gibson. When you see some of the players that have commanded fees in excess of £10M recently it makes you wonder. (looks @ Henderson, Downing, Jarvis, Fletcher)
